Heating permit (Minor Source of Air Pollution - MZZO)
The city only issues a permit for minor sources of air pollution. For example, heating in family houses, cabins and other buildings with a solid fuel fireplace or gas boiler is considered a minor source of air pollution. In addition to houses, these include larger technological units and areas where work is carried out that may cause air pollution.
When do I need to apply for a permit?
Construction
If you are yet to build a house to be heated by a minor source of pollution. This also applies if you are planning an extension to an existing building.
Occupancy approval
Application attachments vary depending on whether or not you already have a permit for the construction of MHZZO issued by the city.
Modernisation/renovation
If you already have occupancy approval for a building with a chimney already installed, and now you are going to install a fireplace or a gas boiler. Alternatively, if you are replacing your existing heating system.
