Who pays the material need benefits?
From 1 September 2022, the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and the Family will pay the material hardship allowance to people coming from Ukraine.
What does the amount of the benefit depend on?
The specific amount of the allowance depends on the number of household members and their situation, and is granted to the same extent and under the same conditions as for Slovak nationals. In determining the number of persons assessed jointly, only persons residing within the territory of the Slovak Republic will be considered as members of the household.
How can I apply for the material need benefits?
In Bratislava, you can apply for the material hardship allowance at the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and the Family at 7/A Vazovova Street, where the foreigner will be provided with the necessary counselling.
