The summer season has started at Bratislava swimming pools managed by the city organisation STaRZ. The Areál zdravia Zlaté Piesky, Rosnička, Lamač and Krasňany swimming pools opened on Saturday, 17 June 2023. The Delfín and Tehelné Pole summer swimming pools will open their gates on Tuesday, 20 June 2023. The Rača swimming pool will also open in June.
This year you can again avoid queueing at the entrance to the swimming pools and buy a single ticket or season ticket online at a discounted price at web Bratislava ↗︎.
The city organisation STaRZ manages the Bratislava summer swimming pools Rosnička, Tehelné pole, Delfín, Lamač, Krasňany, Rača and Areál zdravia Zlaté Piesky. The season will start gradually during June. In addition to regular routine maintenance, the Lamač swimming pool has a new heater in the children's pool, which will provide greater comfort for the youngest visitors; the Rosnička swimming pool will have a special teqball table, which combines elements of football and table tennis; and the Tehelné pole swimming pool has a new hoist to assist disabled persons in entering the water. New drinking fountains and showers are available at Areál zdravia Zlaté piesky.
Due to inflation, higher energy costs and shortfalls of tens of millions of euros in the city budget after several legislative measures, it has been necessary to adjust the price tariff. The last time the prices for admission to summer swimming pools were adjusted was five years ago. This year, online tickets and season tickets are also available at lower prices than tickets sold at the gate. For example, a single adult ticket costs €5 at the ticket office of most of the STaRZ-managed swimming pools and €4 when purchased online. A single ticket of €4 applies to all ages. In addition to the all-day single ticket, there is also a new single ticket for entry after 5 p.m. for €3.5. Online tickets are not limited to one day or one selected swimming pool.
"The last time we adjusted the admission prices to swimming pools was in 2018. We are not happy about the price increase, but it was a necessary step. We believe that online tickets, which are more cost-efficient, will once again be popular with visitors and they will prefer them to buying tickets at the counter, saving both money and time," says Ladislav Križan, STaRZ Manager.
For frequent visitors to the swimming pools, season passes are also available at lower prices - you can choose from a season pass for 10 entries (€36), for 10 entries after 5 pm (€25), a season pass for the whole season, which does not limit the number of entries (€99) or a new season pass for seniors and people with disabilities (€49). It is possible to buy a children's season pass for up to 5 children for €1 per child (aged from 3 to 18 years; children under the age of 3 have free entry to the swimming pool).
"Every year we improve our online sales service based on the feedback we get from users. For example, we have simplified the process of adding children's season tickets at the checkout and added an option to download tickets to Google and Apple virtual wallets. To purchase season tickets online, users can log in via the Bratislava Account, which has quickly gained in popularity after its launch in April thanks to digital tax payments," says Mária Kostická, Product Manager at the Innovations Department.
Online tickets are now on sale at web Bratislava ↗︎. There is no need to print the tickets, just show the QR code on your mobile phone and enter via the separate entrance at the swimming pool. Visitors who register via the Bratislava account after logging in to kupaliska.bratislava.sk will be able to view all their active and used tickets and season tickets in one place.
