Bratislava aims to position itself as a regional leader in talent attraction. Talent is drawn to places with high concentration of meaningful opportunities and pathways for growth. Our policy tools are designed to put Bratislava firmly on the international talent map by strengthening the local talent ecosystem, connecting people to opportunities, and implementing targeted measures to further enhance quality of life and city services.

Future Founders Varsity

An entrepreneurship development program for university students in Bratislava. Its objective is to develop entrepreneurial skills, thinking, teamwork and readiness to launch startups while solving real problems identified by participants.

Each applicant must come with a clearly defined problem he/she wants to solve or join a team around one. The program will help them transform these problems into validated startup ideas, supported by mentors and experts from The Spot community.

Student Welcome Week

The City of Bratislava joined forces with the city’s universities to officially welcome students – both local and international – through Student Welcome Week.

The goal was to strengthen the emotional connection between students and the city, showcase opportunities beyond academics, and position Bratislava as a City for talent.

Climathon Bratislava is a high-energy, 48-hour hackathon (hacking marathon) where student teams and tech enthusiasts from all over Slovakia work with city officials, mentors and industry experts. Our mission is to tackle urban challenges with innovative solutions.
