How to submit comments on the Capital’s Generally Binding Regulations?
Bratislava, the Capital City of the Slovak Republic, may issue generally binding regulations in matters of territorial self-government and in matters in which the Capital performs the tasks of state administration.
The regulations are approved by the City Council, their content is binding, and they apply to the entire territory of Bratislava and to all persons within the territory of Bratislava.
Who can be involved in the comments procedure and at what stage?
Individuals and legal entities may participate in the creation of regulations by submitting comments on draft ordinances before the regulations are adopted by the City Council.
The draft regulation on which comments may be submitted is published by the Capital:
- on the official notice board online
- on the official notice board in the City Hall
- and on the Capital’s website
Contents and form of comments
A comment may propose a new text or recommend a revision – an amendment, deletion or clarification of the original text - within a specified period. Other suggestions need not be taken into account by the creator of the regulation, especially if they are not justified.

Comments on the draft regulation may be submitted in writing, digitally or orally on the record at the City Hall within the specified period
