Objectives of the Department of Culture

Department of Culture is responsible for the city established contributory organizations in the field of culture: Bratislava Cultural and Information Center, Bratislava City Gallery, Bratislava City Library, Bratislava City Museum, Municipal Institute for the Protection of Monuments in Bratislava.

The Department of Culture, as the responsible department for city's cultural organisations, provides:

  • fulfillment of tasks arising from the founding competence of the capital to contributory organizations in the field of culture
  • coordination, control and guidance in terms of professional and methodological activities of contributory organizations in the field of culture
