How to apply for registration in the schools’ network?
To register as a non-state school or school facilities in the network of schools, application can be made by a state-recognised church or religious society, a legal entity or an individual.
How to apply?
1. The applicant needs to submit to the Ministry of Education the consent of the municipality, in this case, the capital.
This may include the following facilities:
- Nurseries
- Language Schools
- Primary Art Schools
- School Facilities for Children, Pupils and Students under the age of 15
- Primary Schools
- or Primary Schools for Pupils with Special Educational Needs
Bratislava, the capital city of the Slovak Republic, pursuant to the Section 16(1)(l) of Act No. 596/2003 Coll. on State Administration of Education and Schools Self-Governance and on changes and amendments to certain acts, as amended, by the competent authority for issuing an opinion on the inclusion of non-state (non-formal and ecclesiastical) schools and school facilities in the network of schools.
2. Applications will be discussed at the Committee meeting – the Committee for Education, Learning and Sport of the Bratislava City Council.
According to the Resolution of the Bratislava City Council No. 157/2007, which instructed the Mayor of Bratislava to give consent/dissent to the applications.
3. The Committee then will decide, whether or not to recommend to the Mayor of Bratislava, to accept the application to register the school or school facility to the school network.
