The Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava
The Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava (MIB) is a conceptual institute specialising in architecture, spatial planning, participation and strategic planning. It comprises a team of experts in architecture, urban planning and city development that plans growth and development to increase both quality of life and public space.
The MIB aims to promote quality architecture and functional solutions reflecting the needs of Bratislava's residents in urban projects and plans in the light of social and climate change. MIB is the city's contributory organisation.
Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava:
- creates assignments and calls for architectural competitions where architects place an emphasis on functionality and quality of design
- ensures the standardisation of interventions in urban space by way of the creation of manuals and principles
- sets transparent and sustainable urban and spatial planning objectives and creates strategic documents (urban, architectural, procedural)
- puts public interest first
