City Bees

Nowadays, the urban environment suits bees better. This may sound like a paradox, but the city is less windy and has higher temperatures. The city also offers the opportunity to create areas with a much wider range of flowers and flowering plants than a rural landscape with monocultures. By taking the right steps, such as creating flower meadows, extensively cutting grass in some areas, building insect hotels, and planting trees, shrubs and plants, cities are helping to ensure the existence of these most important pollinators.
