We’re opening Bratislava’s summer swimming pools
10. 06. 2025

Bratislava, 10 June 2025 – Bratislava’s summer swimming pools are gradually being filled with water these days, and preparations for the summer season are in full swing. Visitors to the city’s swimming pools managed by STaRZ can look forward to a refreshing summer with advantageous online tickets and season tickets that save both time and money. What’s more, all-season season tickets are valid not only at all eight city swimming pools but can also be used to enter the Pasienky City Swimming Pool, which remains open during the summer. Another new item at the swimming pools is the discounted online entrance fee for children.
The Zlaté piesky Health Complex is already accessible for lovers of summer refreshment, and from 11 June, another popular swimming pool, Rosnička, will also welcome visitors. Depending on the weather and the necessary permits from the Regional Public Health Office, the following swimming pools will also be opened: Tehelné pole, Lamač, Krasňany, Mičurín, Delfín and Rača. Swimmers this summer will also have access to the renovated Pasienky Municipal Swimming Pool, which was previously closed to the public. It will be open this summer season in its standard mode from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends. The entrance fees to the swimming pool are given in the current price list STaRZ - starz.sk ↗︎, but a new feature is the option to use the season pass purchased for the swimming pools to enter the Pasienky Swimming Pool for 90 minutes.
Explained Ladislav Križan, director of STaRZ:
“STaRZ has once again invested in municipal swimming pools before the season with the goal of ensuring the greatest possible comfort for visitors. The investments went into a new engine room and pool technology at the legendary Mičurín pool, thanks to which we can open this swimming pool earlier, in mid-June. Children can now look forward to a brand new surface on the popular slide at Rosnička. A new pool lining has been added to the 50-metre pool at Tehelné pole. Swimmers will certainly be pleased at the option to swim every day from 6:00 a.m. on most of the 8 lanes in the renovated Pasienky Municipal Swimming Pool, which prior to its reconstruction used to be closed in the summer.”
As a result of the increase in VAT (from 10% to 23%) and the higher costs for energy and human resources, Bratislava’s municipal swimming pools, like swimming pools in many other cities in Slovakia, could not avoid adjusting their entrance fees to ensure that their operation and investment in them remains sustainable.
However, even in this currently more difficult financial situation, there is a more advantageous solution that allows visitors to the swimming pools to save on admission. Just buy an online ticket. With the purchase of a ticket online, the price for all swimming pools is only €5.50, and after 5 p.m., visitors can buy a ticket online for only €4.50. For those who want to buy a ticket directly at the pool box office, the price of an all-day ticket will range from €8.00 (Rosnička) to €6.50 (Lamač, Tehelné pole, Delfín) or €6.00 (Krasňany, Rača, Zlaté piesky, Mičurín).
For children from 3 to 18 years old, the price of admission on site will be €4.50, and this price is the same for all city swimming pools. A new item is online tickets for this age group of visitors, which can be purchased for €4.00, and after 5 p.m. for only €3.50. Children under 3 years of age can enter admission free, and for seniors and disabled individuals, the cheapest admission fee for all pools is €3.
Online season tickets – offering 10 entries for €49.50, 10 entries after 5 p.m. for €40 – are ideal for regular visitors to swimming pools. The most advantageous option for lovers of summer refreshment in the city is a season ticket for the whole season with an unlimited number of entries for €99, to which a children’s season ticket can be purchased for a maximum of three children aged 3 to 18 for €9.90 per child. Seniors and disabled persons can also buy a season ticket for €59.
Visitors can purchase individual tickets and season tickets online via the website Bratislava - bratislava.sk ↗︎. They will then only need to show the QR code on their mobile phone and pass through a separately set up entrance to the swimming pool. Users registered through the Bratislava Account have all their tickets and season tickets located clearly in one place. Season tickets are transferable among all eight Bratislava swimming pools; they are not linked to one specific location. In addition, the price of the season ticket now also includes entry to the Pasienky Municipal Swimming Pool during the summer season.
The Bratislava municipal swimming pools managed by the city organisation StaRZ are: Rosnička in the city borough (CB) of Dúbravka, Tehelné pole in the CB Nové Mesto, Lamač in the CB Lamač, Rača and Krasňany in the CB Rača, Mičurín in the CB Staré Mesto, and Delfín and the natural swimming pool in the Zlaté piesky Health Complex in the CB Ružinov.
